Update on Tanzania Epic Exchange 2017

The Tanzania Epic Exchange 2017 is fully booked with twenty five enthusiastic ambassadors throughout the USA. Twelve of the twenty five are from our club. Five are from the Dallas Club where ED Bonnie Evans had joined them on the Azerbaijan-Republic of Georgia Exchange in May 2016. There are two from the Denver, Colorado Club. Two from the Eastern Washington-Idaho Club and two from the Los Angeles club. One from the each of the Sarasota Florida and Sacramento, California clubs. We have one female from Dallas Texas who would like a roommate. Otherwise any other ambassadors who express interest, would be put on a waiting list. A 29 page booklet of information was created. If you would like a copy just email the Exchange Director, Bonnie Evans at kbemje@bellsouth.net or call her at 404.771.0010

During the tour and exchange there will be several humanitarian projects. In Moshi we will deliver several suitcases of books from Books for Africa to an Orphanage and a Primary School. Books for Africa is a five star rated charity.

Our club will celebrate International Friendship Day on March 1 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM by volunteering at the Books for Africa Warehouse located off of Bolton Rd. We will be sorting books into various age groups. Afterwards we will join together for lunch at the nearby Jack’s New York Deli which has amazing sandwiches.

At our five day home stay in Iringa we will be participating in an educational enhancement project at a Primary School. Each ambassador will deliver school supplies for the school. The Visiting Ambassadors will be making a group monetary donation towards digging for a deep well for clean water or toilet pits where there is a great need. We encourage our members to make monetary donations so our farewell gift will be a sizable amount to make a difference. Please contact Bonnie Evans for further information at kbemje@bellsouth.net or call her at 404.771.0010.
